I saw this movie in Italy, back in the 80s…I have to say that I am still not convinced by the actress impersonating Marilyn…she seems to lack that distinctive grace.Look at her running on the beach, for example..I prefer Mira Sorvino’s performance..

i love her story, she came from a broken home, not knowing her dad, mom is mentally ill and taken to an asylum she end up in an orphanage, married, divorce, thrown around men in hollywood, became famous hook up with a president and his brother and then die young, what a tragic.

Yes it is a side effect of being a Marilyn fan! a good one:) This show in fact is the first movie i saw about marilyn and is the one that got me interested in her and gave me the urge to find out more about her and when i did i fell in love with Norma Jean and have been so for many years now.

Wow, Mark is it? You have a lot of female friends you lucky rascal. But, Nice movie……I never seen this one. When the guy at the poolside said, “Do you know who I am?” I almost jumped out of my seat and said, “Yeah, youre the guy from voyage to the bottom of the sea.” Great times. About the real Marilyn, I wonder if in the end she thought she could become the American Eva Peron? Anyways, thanks for sharing a wonderful movie about a great American Icon-Actress.

thanks so much mark! i enjoyed watching this not that it matters but i think the guys who played johnny hyde and john huston should have switched roles, the hyde actor had hustons deep voice!

This movie is seriously just damn fabulous! I’m in love with it!!! It is very shocking that it is not well known, It’s full of the things other movies tend to leave out and very much of what we read in the books that are well written!

@leobsessed Yes i agree so far she has done marilyn the best. As she didnt try and over act the role of marilyn as alot of actresses do. this is not a movie about hick’s being a marilyn lookalike.

When I first heard of a marilyn movie starring Catherine Hicks I laughed because all I kept picturing was 7 heaven! but so far she’s the best Marilyn I’ve seen! how funny.
